My element is Oxygen and it is basically one of the three things that is needed to sustain life. Oxygen comes from trees and is inhaled by humans to keep them going. Oxygen is inhaled by many things everyday such as animals plants and humans. When trees are cut down it reduces the amount of Oxygen in the world.Oxygen's name is from Greece and the Greek words were "Oxy genes" which meant acid and acid former. Oxygen was discovered before 1772. It was not recognized as an element at that time.
The periodic table includes very different elements but the one I was given Oxygen. When I was given this I said yes I got the easiest one but I did not know what I know now. I know that Oxygen is used in many different ways every single day for example to help climbers, help the elderly breathe and pump the air through their lungs but what oxygen is needed the most by is average joe's like you and me.
